Is it OK if I’ve never done yoga before?
YES! Both classes are gentle and suitable for beginners—and you won’t be alone! At the same time, even very experienced yogini’s will benefit, and the practice can be modified to accommodate a wide variety of individual skill levels.
When can I start?
Whenever it feels right for you. For many moms-to-be this is right upon discovering they are pregnant, while some prefer to wait until after the first trimester. And you can practice right up until baby’s birth day.
How soon should I wait after birth?
After baby comes, Camille recommends staying home for the first six weeks, (or as long as you like!) as the body is healing. However, some moms begin as soon as two weeks postpartum, and appropriate modifications are made to safely accommodate them. Again, come when it feels right.
What do I need to wear/bring to class?
Wear comfortable clothes that allow you freedom of movement. Bring some water, and if you have your own yoga mat, feel free to bring that too. However, everything you might need is also already provided by the studio!
